This is Duff MacDuff Ferret coming out of my retirement as the Ambassador
Ferret for the Ferret And Dove Sanctuary, Inc. to beg you humans in the
names of all of us, the ferrets, to help our home and Sanctuary to get
a dependable and decent generator so the missus and I and all the other
ferret-folk who live here will not again be wrung through the soggy,
unending sauna nightmare that we went through after the last hurricane to
hit our area took down nearly every power substation besides the "usual"
localized wires, trees, poles and transformers.  Our two retired humans
gave us their "all" in doing their level best to keep each of us from
heat exhaustion and heat stroke, never leaving our sides while in real
danger of the same things for themselves.  One of us, Little Prince
Albert Ferret, developed severe chest congestion and heavy wheezing and
even though he was taken to and treated by two vets on two visits,
succumbed to the debilitating effects of being heat-stressed for just
over five days and has passed on to the rainbow Bridge.  Our humans are
determined to not allow this to ever happen to any of us again.
 
Please help us, the ferrets, get a dependable and decent emergency
generator for our Sanctuary.  Send what you can in check or money order
