Here's my take on the little taxidermied ferret on eBay: While I would
NEVER want to see my guys stuffed, I have, however, had all my deceased
ferrets burned in a hot fire until nothing was left but ashes. WHAT?!?!
No, I am not a crazed loony. I simply want to keep my beloved pets with
me and since I don't know how long I'll live here, cremation makes them
"portable," if you will. (For what it's worth, I intend to be cremated
myself, so I'm not choosing something for my pets that I don't approve of
for myself.) Perhaps, the owner of this ferret was not a sicko, bent on
making ferret lovers everywhere angry. Perhaps, this person loved their
pet with all their heart and soul and wanted it to remain with him/her
after its death. Perhaps, this person has passed on now, himself, and
thus the little ferret needs a new home. Many owners stuff their pets,
it's quite common really. More so than most of you would believe.
Please don't be so quick to judge. It's not likely that the ferret was
killed to be stuff ed...most probable is that he died naturally and was
then taken to the taxidermist. While not all folks feel taxidermy is
appealing, (I don't care for it!) it is certainly not for us to keep
others from it. As for the comments about stuffed cats and dogs?? Yes,
you can find them on eBay once in a while, more often than ferrets.
The taxidermists really aren't out to torture us ferret owners...it's
equal-opportunity stuffing! :) It's quite legal. It fits eBay's
standards (heck, they have the taxidermy category!) so it is not right
to harass this seller. If you don't approve, don't bid. Anyway, I just
wanted to put in my two cents to this topic. May the little guy get a
good home, and may the highest bidder win.

Sincerely,
Jaclyn
