16 years ago, Dr W and I started Performance Foods, Inc. and our
signature product, Totally Ferret¨, at a Pet Expo in King of Prussia,
PA. We soon were on the road almost every weekend to ferret shows in
PA, VA, MD, OH, IN and NJ. Even went to WI and NY and CA on a couple of
occasions. Through this network, we met some of the most active people
involved in the education and husbandry of the domesticated ferret.

Those were some of the best times for us. We were meeting the 'shakers
and movers' of the ferret community, learning more about their
husbandry and growing our contact lists to further advance ourselves
into the rich and fulfilling ferret arena.

Five years ago, we finally realized our dream and built a solar home in
the mountains of CO. We moved in and this is where we wanted to retire.
Unfortunately, this cannot be. My health again has taken a dive and for
medical reasons, we will need to move to a much lower altitude.

In 2009, we will begin that change. Dr W and I are retiring but he
will be on-board with the new ownership. All three of our outstanding
people will still be here (and Dr W will still be the man behind the
formulas). In fact, for the past 9 months, they have actually been
running the business and we have stayed in the background for training
and questions when needed. So, rest assured, all will continue as
before.

Liz Lovins, our disc dog enthusiast for our Total Performance Foods Dog
Food Line, will be the new owner and president of Performance Foods,
Inc.

Jeff Bateman, our oldest employee (10 years) and sales director, has
added production and our website to his responsibilities.

April (Big Ole Name), and our ferret expert, will still be on board to
help with your questions and work with those crazy promotions.

You have all been a large part of our lives from the beginning. Without
your love and support, we would not be here. We are still smaller than
the 'big guys' but because of you, we are the ones that carry 'the
heart and soul of the ferret community'.

Please give your support to the Second Generation of Performance Foods,
Inc. as you have always given it to us.
