Ferret smells

Hey guys.  I thought this was pretty interesting.  I just recently got
hired by a veterinary clinic in my area.  I hadn't been working there a
week when I realized they had a mouse issue.  I brought in my ferret's
favorite bedding which smelled very much like them.  I put it next to the
food and we haven't seen a mouse since.  I've been working there for 2
weeks since.  Has anyone noticed that mice run from the smell of ferrets?
