Please, if you haven't written a letter and/or signed the petition, do
it now.  The hearing is on Tuesday, March 18th so you can see that time
is running out.
 
A synopsis of this bill is as follows:
Prohibiting a person from shipping, receiving, selling, or buying a
ferret that is under twelve (12) weeks of age; prohibiting a person from
spaying or neutering a ferret that is under the age of twelve (12) weeks;
providing that a violation of the Act is a Criminal Misdemeanor, and
providing a penalty for violation of the Act.
 
This bill must pass through the House and be ratified by the Maryland
Senate before it has standing, but the wheels are in motion.  Stay tuned
for updates.
