Our one ferret, Jill, died last Sunday, and we are all taking it hard,
including the other five ferrets we have.  We are giving the others extra
attention and love to get them through their time of sorrow, plus, it helps
with ours.  About how long do ferret siblings go on looking for their
"brother/sister" after they passed?  I'm sure each ferret is different,
but an idea or any of your experience is greatly appreciated.
 
Also, our one male, Jack, has black heads on his tail and is losing hair on
it (not from the base), and it has an orange crust color to it, please give
me your experience on this and what has worked for your to clear it up.  I
bought stridex pads but before I use them I thought I'd get some ideas from
other ferret mom and dads.
