Hi it's me Wolfy,
I wanted to write you all and let you know of a new developement here in my
home. Last fall I wrote of my autistic son, Sean and his slow emergence
from autism. Autism is marked by a huge language and social delay with a
collage of other symptoms. I wrote of how the hugest milestone he has ever
had (besides speech) was a sudden bond he developed with a pair of ferrets
I bought for my husband. The ferrets Ping and Pong are deaf and have had
a huge impact on my son. In that they brought out socialism, as well as
love and emotions that he never before had appropriately demonstrated to
such a degree.

I wrote to you all that by Christmas my son was talking, socializing, and
cuddling with the ferrets. His story is at the site below if you would
like to refresh your memory, plus see pics and even hear his laughter.
Well all, I have news.

Sean is to get his very own ferret. He has been promised... he has proven
to be a great ferret daddy on many levels in the past 5 months. We want
to reward him, and he is more responsible for my husbands ferrets than a
normal kid ever could be. He has his heart set on a choclate boy (uuugh I
wanted a little girl in the home ha-ha). I don't think he cares about the
markings... he just likes the color choclate and wants a boy.

I personally would love a roan or siamese, or champaygne even. We all
would love to be able to get a ferret that has some lines in it that will
give it a longer life than an average mill ferret. I want Sean to have
many healthy years with his first love. I also must have a sweet natured
or bred ferret...not a super hyper one.. or from a line of biters. Sean
is used to the sweet nature of MF ferrets. I think he wants a baby. I
personally would consider a yearling kit...as long as he can get along
with other ferrets and such.

We'll be keeping our eyes peeled in the future. This sweet little boy
deserves this love. I'll let you know what transpires over time with this.
