Since the feral cat post was allowed through, I am assuming that at least
one rebuttal will be allowed through also.

a) it's not true that feral cats are decimating wildlife. If you get
upset at falsehoods about ferrets, then why perpetuate myths about other
animals?

b) the "problem" of feral cats is 100% the responsibility of humans who
abandon cats because they believe the myth that cats can survive just
fine their own, or people who let their own cats have kittens. Even
one litter of kittens adds to the overpopulation problem.

c) anyone who has rescued feral cats can tell you that these cats often
suffer from disease, abuse, and starvation. They lead hard lives and
often die awful deaths. Their lives are made even more miserable by
people who believe they should be killed.

If you are really concerned about feral cats, then help Alley Cat
Allies, who are actively working to spay and neuter cats to control
overpopulation, rather than kill them. They also educate people about
the many myths surrounding f eral cats. Hatred of cats was rampant in
the middle ages; cruelty to any animal has no place in the 21st century.
