This is in response to Tanya Stephens' question about weight gain. Our
little boy, Dakota, put on close to a pound in the month of September. We
became concerned and took him to our vet. He gave Dakota a good looking
over and said that he didn't believe anything was wrong with him. I had
heard that large weight fluctuations were possible and I figure this is what
happened. I would suggest that if you have a good vet just to take your
little Izzy in for a look over if you are concerned. $30 isn't a lot to pay
for a little peace of mind. Plus, our vet was so happy to see a healthy
ferret. He commented that most of the ferrets he sees are sick with one
thing or another.

Good Luck!

Steve
