To echo Vickie's comment about large ferrets, I'd like to share what I
learned at a show..... a 6-pound ferret may receive comments from the
judges that such a large hob begins to exceed size for the species
standard. Also, a very large hob introduces potential breeding issues
for jills who may have to deliver large kits!

I happen to know that the large hob in question was not produced
through line breeding for size....he just happened to be a big boy.
In any event, I do not breed, so I never would have thought about
potential problems with breeding a large hob. Shows are great to
attend because I always learn something interesting every time I go.

I have to fly to get to a show since we don't have any in Denver. :( I
bring an empty suitcase and a pile of cash - LOL!!!! I just love it!!!!
