I recently ran an online search on DIALOG looking for newspaper stories
about ferrets. I found an old one from The Washington Post, April 5, 1998.
Jane Alvaro, of the Anti-Cruelty Society was quoted as saying "they're mean,
vicious little animals," and "they have a horrible odor and it's really not
possible to housebreak them." As I said, it's an old article, and I hope she
has had a chance to change her opinion.
For me, my fuzzies are the sweetest smelling, litter trained, precious
little companions.
