Last Thursday (9 September) was my birthday, and I recieved the most
WONDERFUL present anyone could ever ask for...Miko and Mia decided to
become best friends! They are inseperable now....Mia has moved into the
'big house,' and just like any 'liberated female' she has TOTALLY
redecorated the place! One of the best things is that she LOVES the toys,
which Miko has never had much use for other than hiding them in the couch.
It's a wonderful sound to hear the little bells in the morning, and know
that all that money wasn't a total waste. Now if only I could get my cat
Mouse to stop eating all the ferret treats...

Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know that Miko seems to love his new
baby sis just as much as he did Misha (who is still AWOL, and I'm starting
to lose all hope of her return), if not more. Mia is much more interested
in getting into trouble than Misha ever was, and Miko is having a ball
showing her all the different things she can get into, and how to climb
EVERYTHING in the house. Seems Mia has been teaching her big brother a
thing or two as well....

Is it possible that my new baby is already a seasoned FLO member? I swear
she's up to something....and it can't be good for me. When I arrived at
work yesterday I was in a panic because my wallet (containing ALL my credit
cards) was missing....after calling nearly every place in town that I had
been the night before, I decided to simply wait and look at home. Well,
when I got home I found the wallet, stuffed behind the chair cushion, under
a jacket, that was COMPLETELY across the room from where I had left my
purse the night before. At first I thought Miko was the culprit, he's
always been the one to get my car keys and stash them in the couch or my
briefcase, but I soon heard the frustrated grunts of little Mia, trying
desperately to get the wallet back out of my purse. She let me know of her
disapproval to my taking my credit cards back by soundly biting my leg then
dancing away. Guess I should start expecting UPS to make deliveries to my
door....I wouldn't put ANYTHING past! those two! *grin*

Thank you for the many kind prayers and responses to my last post. It does
my heart a world of good to see how many people out there understand how
devastating it is to lose one of your babies, and to not know where they
are. And all of the advice I received on how to acclimate Miko to the new
baby worked wonders! Thanks so much!

Kisses and ear-licks to all!
