So far Jeep is doing first rate! He must really enjoy his new cage
because yesterday he was hopping around on his toe tips all over the
place going from floor to floor. Was very comical to watch. Yes, he
nips a bit which is normal but I think that is a protective mechanism
from how he was handled up to this time. He found human hands bring
discomfort and sometimes pain so he is objecting to my hand. But for
sure he is getting much better as the days go on. This is more ferret
language. Many rescues 'told' me of so disagreeable treatment they have
been thru but it doesn't take them long to figure out I am not a dealer
of pain and discomfort and they respond in kind.

He always comes to the cage side to greet me every time I come into the
room and I always take a moment to talk to him. He responds very well.
I think he will be an excellent little aminal to share my adobe. He is
so small ! But being a male for sure in short time he will fill out
and be a big boy. Am so very glad I chose to have a kit this time. Is
most refreshing for sure. He may get some 'out' time today, his first
experience to explore the house. He has trashed his cage, maybe the
house next ! Ha! Just a ferret being a ferret.
