Beware of AAFCO standards, as adherence to an AAFCO guideline is
voluntary.  Unless you see an AAFCO seal on a product, the manufacturer
is not necessarily following their guidelines.
 
The following quote is from the AAFCO website current News and
Information page article, titled "AAFCO Strategy for Marketed
Ingredient (ESMI) Working Group."
 
"AAFCO is not a regulatory agency, but is an association of Federal and
State officials that provide a forum to deliberate and discuss issues
affecting the sale and distribution of animal feed."
 
As Linda said, Bob C's Chicken Gravy contains by-products.  The reason is
that they can be very healthful for carnivores.
