Hi all! Well, I just wanted to share my experience with ferret
tricks. As I wrote before (just so people know I AM repeating
myself) my babies will come to me if I squeak a toy because
they know they will get a raisin.

One of my babies, Joey, was really abused as a kit and had
turned into a big biter. Before he came to live with me, he
stayed at a foster home to try and get him out of his biting
habit. When picked up he would bite to get down. So she
wouldn't let him down until he kissed her. How in the world
she got him to do this is beyond me. I was barely able to
teach my dog to sit. But now if you pick Joey up and tell him
give me a kiss he'll (eventually) lick some part of your face.

Another friend of mine managed to teach a couple of her kids to
roll over. She would hold a raisin over their head and slowly
move it in a circle. They would follow it with their heads and
roll over. Then they got a raisin. So eventually she could
just make a circle over their head and they would roll over
(and still get a raisin). However, NONE of my kids (I have
six) seem willing to do this trick.

Good luck teaching yours! If you do let me know!

pheret & her kids.
