Hi. I'm a bit worried about my 9 month old fixed male MF silver mitt,
Rorty. There seems to be a subtle "pinkening" of the skin around his eyes
and mouth... not like angry red, but a slight color change (just enough
that if you know him well, you notice). Other than the pinkness, he's
not showing any signs of irritation... he's secreting a bit more oil than
normal, but I'm attributing that to seasonal variation. His appetite is
as monstrous as normal, and he's still an energetic little spaz. =) He's
just... a bit pinker than usual. He doesn't scratch the areas or show any
increased sensitivity or signs of itching; I'd hustle him off to the vet
anyway, but I'm not sure that the vets here will do anything but look at
him, say "it's normal," and charge me money. They're not really ferret
vets. =( Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone else has seen this sort of
thing, and what it might be, before I worry myself sick. Thank you.
