HI all...

Okay I should start by saying this... when I woke up Friday Morning I had 5
monkeys living in my house. Now at 6:02PM on sunday there are seven... I
guess this is what you mean by ferret math? 5+1=7...

Okay so the first addition came on friday afternoon a sweet little girl
with a taste for humyn blood named Kaylee Freedom, she was rescued from the
local pet store. The pet store had her for quite some time, had come down
to $80 dollars on her price, she had fleas, boo-boos from scratching, was
very skittish around ppl, was kept in pine shavings, fed LOW quality ferret
food, NO litter pan, her little butt was all icky and swollen... I brought
her home and my phone rang... it was a friend telling me somebody was
giving away a 6yo albino girl to a home with ferrets. I called and told
the womyn that I would love to meet her baby, got some background info on
the little girl and found out that the reason they were trying to find her
a home was because they lost one (this little girls friend) in april... a
horrible death ... they told me the one that died... was having seizures,
crying and having trouble breathing... (does this sound like anything
documented to anyone??)... anyway the one they still had became depressed
and they thought it was because she wasnt in the company of other ferrets
anymore... I told her that removing her from her home would probably
depress her even more but this womyn was really convinced that her baby
just needed ferret companionship... PLEASE do not send flames about what
this womyn did... she was OBVIOUSLY in pain over the decision she thought
she needed to make, she was crying and I could tell she was doing what to
her must have felt like putting her baby down... I have that baby now... we
named her Hepa Joy Rebel... Actually I guess she's not really a baby...
She is the OLDEST ferret I have and my others have REALLY taken to her...
Infact, she (Hepa) has taken to Kaylee... she grooms her... its too cute.

I was wondering... about adrenal... I AM over concerned ... I mean anytime
any of my babies, sneeze, squeak or walk funny I get worried.. but I think
my concern may be accurate this time... could somebody please tell me if
hair loss is something that comes with age or if this is JUST associated
with Adrenal Disease. She hasnt eaten anything yet and I am in the process
of creating some duck soup to see if I can put some weight on her...

Now for the moral dilema.. the pet store that I got Kaylee from... I felt
ANGRY that they were profiting from this baby that they had so OBVIOUSLY
neglected... she's a sweetheart and I am really glad we got her but it
doesnt change my feelings about the store... as I was taking her home the
thought that she would only be replaced with another baby was in my head,
the thought that I had only made room for more neglect and reiforced the
stores feeling about carrying ferrets (beccause they made money from her)
and doing little or NOTHING to ensure that they are well taken care of.
I PREFER to get my babies from shelters or from people like the womyn who
parted with her baby today... but to be honest, I felt like this little
girl needed me ... and I got a wonderful surprise from her... she wagged
her little tail... hehehehe.. it was toooo cute, I never saw a ferret do
that before... I dont know what prompted her to do it and I dont know if
she will do it again but it was adorable...

Okay Im done!

hehehe... but we're not!
Bella: Geeze mommy, another one?? This hammok sure is gettin small!
Stuey: Does this mean we get one everyday?? I'll be good, I promise!
Yoshi: Mommy, dont worry I'll show em around... *knocks soda can off of
table*... look guys this is how you get the yummy drink... but ya
gotta wait till mommy isnt looking!
Kaylee: Mmmmmmm Pepsi! Never *drink drink* had *drink* this *drink*
        before!
Hepa: I need a hug! Please pick me up!
Pugsley: Hey, lemmie outta her! I wanna play with the new guys too...
*crosses fingers* I promise I wont be mean!
Dharma: Oh Pthhhht! hmph! More competition! Im not worried.
