In any manufacturing venture, regardless of size and successful longevity
in business, there will come a time when the product will falter even to
failure for trends that get out of hand from the source, either the
manufacturing process itself or materials.

The same goes for the logistics or service industry.

In today's FML, at least two businesses, one a service industry and the
other a manufacturing industry, responded via authority figures with in
their respecive ranks to a push back from customers. This is most
refreshing and a confidence builder by all means.

Push back is done everywhere. Is a great measure of 'How am I doing boss?'
where the boss is the next consumer in the chain of product flow (product
is either a tangeable item or intangeable such as service). When a
positive and intelligent supportive response is fielded from a push back,
then that gives great cridibility to the the organization that may have
faultered. To Performance Foods and Petco in today's FML, I applaud you
for responding in such professional and supportive ways. Is an example
all industries needs to follow in the interest of their customers and their
own continued success where if failure is allowed, the competition sharks
will feed on that. Job well done!
