I can't believe your ferret doesn't go after the mice.  We moved into an
old trailer house that had two mice ~ we could see them running across the
floor ~ mice dropping everywhere!!!  We put out poison and it didn't work.
Then we got Trixie.  the most we've seen of those mice was the carcass that
Trixie left laying in my living room after she was done eating part of it.
EWWWW!!!  That's gross ~ worse than a cat eating a mouse. :(
