the beginning of the 24 Carat Ferret Rescue & Shelter's Tornado Raffle.

Ok, back to normal... This raffle will run from Aug. 1st. to Sept. 15th.
with the winners being chosen on Sept. 16th.  There are 8 different
prizes to be won!  All of them are great!  All proceeds from this raffle
will benefit the 24 Carat Ferret Rescue & Shelter and a special ferret
named Roadrunner.
 
Roadrunner was found very dirty and wondering outside in the hot Las
Vegas weather.  At first report it was believed that he was hit by a car.
This fortunately did not turn out to be true.  However, he did have some
puncture wounds that would indicate that he may have had a run in with a
dog.
 
Roadrunner is unable to use his rear legs.  After veterinarian testing
no spinal damage has been found.  He has feeling in his rear legs and is
able to move them on occasion.  He is a very sweet young and energetic
Albino ferret.  We would all love to see him walk again if possible.  We
will detail his story on the web page as soon as we can.
