The first time I saw a ferret was in a tiny hometown petstore. I had been
exposed to every domesticated (and many wild) animals you could think of.
My mother, an animal lover fell in love with a sable they had in. I was a
bit weary of those fangs lol. Anyway... SOLD!

Baby was lovely. An awesome ferret. Sadly enough before she was a year
old, she escaped from our home never to be seen again.

The second time I saw a ferret... I was in bed chronically ill at 16 years
old. I had been bed ridden for almost 4 months and was getting quite
depressed. My door flew open... and in comes my mother with her cigerettet
on her bottom lip, a martini in her hand, and a huge flat container with
animal gloves on top. She plopped it down and I saw an animal rustling
about in there. She said I found an abused ferret in that pet store. It
is quite "wild" (you see back then this pet store told us ferrets were
wild, etc, we even had to sign papers for it.. we were given a published
bood on ferrets that stated them as wild, and that they should eat milk and
eggs, etc ... now THATS wild lol). I was scared, and little.... I asked
what do I do? I said I can't even get it out of there to its home! My
mother put her hand on her hip, took a long drag and stated that she knew
I'd figure it out somehow. :-O

Well... she was right, I did. And Rosey learned not to bite within months
(except when dad got out of the shower with his soapy feet..."June.. @%# $
$&* *#@*&% ^&^%!!!!!!!!"). She was one of the best ferrets I ever had.
