What precautions for ADV/ cryosurgery

I have two questions-
1. I volunteer at a shelter, what precautions should I take so that I do
   not spread disease to my ferrets, or from my ferrets to the shelter.
2. I would like to know of any vets who do cryosurgery on ferrets in the
   Connecticut area, and how experienced they are with ferrets.
