Other than publicity -- which is happening in droves but too much of what I have seen of it seems to be poking fun so is worrisome -- what is the aim of trying the petition to President Obama in relation to ferret legalization in California given that BY LAW he has no power to dictate that to any state? That is a state-by-state thing, and within a number of the states -- depending on how their own constitutions are written -- localities can have their own bans. So, given how the powers and choices are divided btwn federal and state the President could not do anything, anyway. His hands are tied on this. Sukie (not a vet) Ferrets make the world a game.
