Hi Folks, about two weeks ago I noticed a little bit of tar like poop in my
ferrets cage. So I kept a close eye out and saw that Bandit, my 1.5 yr old
was having the green runs and getting quite mopy. I got him to the vet and
did a blood chem test. The test showed everything normal but the liver
reading was very high. The vet gave me amoxi drops and a/d supplement.
He said to use some kaolin for the diarrhea too. Well, when I got home
to start the meds my little girl, Mandy, had crashed on me. She was very
weak, tar poop too, and I thought she was a goner. Back to the vet, more
amoxi and a/d for her. I've been srynge feeding them both for over a week
now and Mandy is eating good from a spoon, up and running and getting into
things though still a little weak. However, Bandit still doesn't want to
eat and every time I have to force feed him his stomach seems upset and I
feel like a jerk Anyway the vet said it could have been an infection some
where or a toxic reaction to something. I've been beating myself up over
this because I have been cleaning the cage with formula 409 cleaner. Just
hot water now.

Mandy is doing good but I'm worried about Bandit. Any Ideas how I help him
with his appetite?
