What? A shelter operator claims they need a vacation? What for? You must
be joking. I know that scooping cages all day, cleaning ears, clipping
toes and all the medical care is a blast! How dare you even suggest that
you need a vacation...

TOTAL SARCASM HERE FOLKS!

I know that when I take vacations (I only have three ferrets to worry
about), it is difficult to relax completely because I start missing them.
I cannot imagine what it must be like for a shelter operator. I had dreams
about scooping and my hubby claims that I was making scooping gestures in
my sleep!

If anyone deserves a vacation, it is these selfless people. I don't have
any fantastic or ingenious ideas, but if you can get some volunteers that
you trust implicitly with the ferrets, then that is the best suggestion I
could make.

KIM AT KISTA NEEDS A VACATION. SEND HELP NOW!

On another note...I did some "research" to try and find a ferret vet
experienced in adrenal surgery closer to Tara, but could not find anyone.
I highly recommend Dr. Kraft or Dr. Kamaka - they are the best with these
procedures. My vet also performs these types of surgeries, but I don't
feel he has as much experience as the above two. Whatever you do decide,
I wish you all the best!
