Sammy's symptoms are classic insulinoma symptoms, though there is certainly
some possibility of a primary neurologic problem. The body does not ignore
low blood sugar induced by an insulinoma, and will struggle to release
glucose stores in order to compensate for it. I have had many ferrets with
"borderline low" blood sugars that proved to have insulinomas. I suggest
discussing a prednisone trial or exploratory with your vet to rule out this
possibility first. Good Luck.
