I'd like to suggest Albuquerque, New Mexico.  It's a tourist town, so
lots of hotels and a large airport.  Rooms have a reasonable rate, and
lots of camping for the adventurous.  Sept-Oct is a great time of year
weather wise.  The Balloon Fiesta is the first Sat. in Oct., and a great
sight for everyone.  Symposium committee please consider NM.
