Hey Everyone,

I am going to drag myself to school tomorrow and beg for mercy from my psych
prof. I thought the test in that class was this week, not last week and he
doesn't like to give make ups. whine, whine.

I used what energy I had and cleaned the farts room today. Played tag with
Miss Stella and the steam cleaner. She was trying to get past it, while I
was pushing it back and forth. So...back and forth she went too trying to
dodge it. It was really funny to watch, she wasn't afraid of it, just
wanted by.

There was less messy poops today so I think they are getting over the bug
also.

Now, if I could only get them to take a couple of tests for me. ;-)

As for ferret food, I know from experience that you cannot look at just the
numbers on any bag. You would be amazed at what is allowed in pet and
livestock food, including meat that is deemed unfit for human consumption.
And all kinds of things can be added to raise protien and fat contents.

So I am back to my age old stance, taste the stuff!! Smell it!! Look at
it!! Tasting was the best way to pick out good horse food vs. yucky stuff.
And I learned to trust my own taste buds a long time ago. Evolution has
gifted us with a great ability, to be able to tell when food is good or not.
It is essential to survival. So use that same instinct when chosing food
for your little ones.

I personally use Totally Ferret. To me it seems the most like two legged
food, smells like chicken and best of all, the ferrets do wonderful on it.
When I first tried it, I fed a combo of Science Diet, Iams and Nutra. All
very good kitten foods. But, with the Totally Ferret my gang's coat got
better, they kept a good weight easier and the most important, they eat less
of it.

No, it isn't cost that makes this important (although that does help cut
down the actual price) but the fact is, less in less out. LOL!! And
believe me, when you have 20 ferrets, that makes a huge difference.

See how your ferrets do on a diet. Compare them to others and be honest.
That is the best way to tell if you are feeding them something that they
thrive on.

And give the little beggars a little variety too. I will give mine a bite
of anything I eat, if they want. Especially if it is meat. Remember, for
all individuals, everyone digests things different. What I may be able to
get out of a paticular food, you might not be able too. That is why variety
is important and why Mother Nature built it in.
