Here is what I do:

I take a 20 pop bottle fill it will cold water freeze it and put in
a tube sock and tie it into a knot (Important part). And put them in
their cage when it gets really hot or if the power goes out!! Now is
the time to start filling up them bottles , you can also put the
bottle/S in the sock And put it in the freezer now and keep them on
hand.

Also have some towels handy, when the power goes out, wet them with
cold water Wring them out leaving them slightly but not dripping and
place over the ferrets cages, Re-wet them ever so often, the dampness
keeps the cage cooler.

Also can can run some cool water in the bath tub, let out the stopper
hide the stopper Then place them in the tub to wet their little feet.
No more than an (1 in) of water in the tub.
