In regards to the topic of pet expense, I would like to thank the one
poster who simply said to follow your heart and your vet's advice.

Well said, well put, and THANK YOU for not feeling the need to add unwanted
definitions of what love is or isn't, or to go off on a tirade about how
you can only be a compassionate ferret owner if you spend more than a $1000
on vet bills.

I would MUCH rather see someone put down a ferret because they couldn't pay
for it, then to hear more stories about people who dump sick ferrets on
shelters or simply let them get sick and die. To me, that is showing
compassion even if the end result is not what you wanted.

Perhaps the question could have been approached better than it was, but I'm
sure some of those return comments made a bunch of people who can in no way
shape or form afford $1000 for ANYTHING, let alone the luxury as a vet
bill, feel like dirt. Well done!

Love, care and compassion has absolutely crap to do with money.

Julie
