I have been wondering the same thing, myself. I have two ferrets, from two
different breeders. Faya (MF, female), although almost 10 weeks old, still
has very soft fur. Zero has rough fur, and always has. I got him at about
8 weeks of age, just like Faya. I thought that perhaps Zero was older than
the petstore people thought, or Faya was younger than the petstore people
thought. Maybe it has something to do with the seasons. So, I would love
to hear what some of you have to say about this!
