A ferret named Wicket came in,
On his face was a cute ferret grin,
He'd picked all the locks,
And stolen my socks,
And I won't ever find them agin.
 
At Ferret Wise Tallie would play,
With no one; she said "Stay away!"
But now she's no slouch,
The boys both say "Ouch!"
As she pounces and chomps them all day.
 
Brownie went hippety-hop,
'Cross the room till he came to a stop,
For there on the floor,
Was a raisin, or more,
With him around, who needs a mop?
