I was contacted about finding a new home for a special needs (bites
other family members) ferret in Tennessee. The owner told me she has
tried lots of things to work with the ferret, including all of her
vet's suggestions and suggestions from other ferret owners. I have sent
her Bob C's post about biters and also to Wolfy's pages about deafness.
Please contact Kathy directly since I don't have this ferret; her contact
info and more about the ferret and her situation is below.

Best wishes,
-Pam S.

Coco is a two year old sable female and all her shots are up to date. I
don't know where to start. When I first got her she was very upset and
had this biting problem. We couldn't even hold her or play with her. I
didn't want to give her to anyone else, because I didn't want them to go
though what i had to. I worked and worked with her. Finally I got her
to not bite me and then i was able to play with her. But my mom and
brother nor anyone else could hold her because she would bite them. I
tried everything that the Vets and other ferret owners told me to try,
but none of them worked. We moved into a smaller house and its hard to
find a place for her to play. So I let her play on the bed. She loves
to play on the bed cause she has her stuffed toys and blankets to play
in. So acts so funny whens she jumping around and playing. I love her
so much that i want to find her a new home. Maybe one to where she could
have some playmates.

Location: Kathy and Coco are in Maryville, TN.

Contact: Kathy at [log in to unmask] or 865-380-8891. Please,
experienced, patient adopters only. Coco will need someone familiar
with biters to work with her.
