Hello, I have only posted here a few times but I have a few questions.  One
of my ferrets, Samson, has decided to start attacking my female (Sassy) all
the time.  Sassy is a rescue and has been with us for 1.5 years now.  It
took a while to integrate the two, but they seemes to at least stand each
other and not fight.  Now he attackes her many times a day and tries to
drag her around, and just plain hurt her.  He mostly gives her just bruises
though.  He does not attack my other male ferret at all, but they grew up
together.  Could this be an early sign of adrenal?  He is 3 years 2 months
old.  No loss of hair.  Any ideas would be helpful.
 
Second question is about my other male, Simba.  When feeling his stomach
above his private parts, I have noticed it seems hard.  I can feel some
sort of organ there that is thin and flat, maybe the liver.  Anyway the
other male ferret have a soft stomach and Simba does not.  I was wondering
if their liver can get swolen or not.  I can feel the sides of it and
almost underneath it a little.  Any ideas?  He is 3 yrs, 3 mts and has no
hair loss or unusual behavior.  He does drink his own urine at times.
 
Both of the ferrets are eating fine, pooping fine, and peeing fine.  They
eat high quality ferret foods (ferret store food, ultimate 8 in 1, zupreem)
and get snacks maybe once a day.  They also get vasaline once every 2 days
to prevent hairballs since it's shedding season.  They get a little
linatone every one in a while.
 
If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to e-mail me.  I am going to call
the vet tomorrow for an appointment as they need to get their shots soon
anyway.
 
Also, my thoughts go out to all of you that have sick fuzzies or fuzzies
that have recently passed away.
