Hello all of you fuzzy lovers out there,

This is my first post. I am a new subscriber to the FML and I have been
learning a lot and doing some laughing and crying. I have to post
anonymously since I live in one of those bad places where you are not
allowed to have cute little fuzzys. I have 3 fuzzys. My very first is
Taselhauf, Tasi for short, a 1 yr. 9 mos. old sable gibb, next is Tika
a 1yr. old cinnamon sprite and last but not least Karemon, Kari for short,
a 4 mo. old albino gibb.

I have a real big problem and need some advice. I have had Tasi, my very
first baby since he was 9 weeks old and he is very spoiled. I got Tika at
3 mos., and they have always gotten along great from the first time they
met. We were a very happy little family. We have our morning routine
where they run around the house and play while I'm getting ready for work.
They have free run of my bedroom when I'm at work, and when I'm home, free
run of the house. We always play for at least an hour when I get home.
Then, my son decided I needed a new addition to my family and got me Kari
for Christmas.

My problem is Tasi hates Kari. When they first met, Tasi was right on him
biting him bad and Kari was just screaming and spraying (none are
descented). Tasi gets next to Kari's cage and shakes, dooks and sprays.
Tasi and Tika are not vocal but Kari is and Tasi has started being very
vocal since Kari's arrival. I agonized all weekend after Christmas trying
to decide whether to send Kari back with my son. I called a few people
and read all that I could on the subject. I was told that they should
eventually get along and I just need to have some patience. Well it's
been three weeks and there has been no change, in fact Tasi accidentally
got hold of Kari the other morning and all I heard was screaming coming out
of the closet and I had to pry Tasi's jaws off of Kari. Poor Tika ended up
getting what the vet thinks is a helobacter infection. I don't know if it
was caused from stress or not. She is on medication and eating duck soup.
She just quit eating and had funny poops. She just loves Kari and plays
with him all of the time. Tasi has gotten depressed and doesn't want to
play anymore. He sleeps most of the time and when I bring him out and try
to get him to play he flattens out and just looks at me with his little sad
eyes.

I have been switching their bedding back and forth, tried giving them both
a bath so they smelled the same and no change. Kari's cage is in my
bedroom next to the others and he has to stay in his cage all day while
Tasi and Tika have the run of the room. He doesn't seem to mind too much.
I got a ferret gate that separates the front from the back of the house
and trade them back and forth and Tika also gets traded around so she can
play with both of them.

Well there's my story. I would appreciate any advice that anyone can give
me. Thanks in advance.

Margarete, from the badlands and her cute little problem fuzzbutts, Tasi,
Tika & Kari, the cats Spooky, Joey, Mittens & Tomasina and the dog
Lancelot. Oh, and Tweeters the cockatiel. Dooks and love to all the
fuzzies out there.

Kari - Can I have some of your duck soup Tika, I just love it.
Tika - I love having a new friend to play with, I just wish they would
       get along.
Tasi - Mom, everything has changed since that other guy got here. Can't
you just get rid of him?
