Ferretone questions ?

I was listening to a discussion of pet food additives on the radio.
BHT, which is in Ferretone, was described as a carcinogen. The
Ferretone also has cod liver oil in it which is not supposed to be
good for ferrets either.

How important is a fatty acid supplement?

What can I give them instead of Ferretone?

Does giving these supplements depend on their diet?
