I keep reading about the inadequate care/conditions that pet store ferrets
live in. Such as shavings for bedding, no litter boxes, food too hard for
small teeth, no food or water etc.

As we continue to try to educate pet stores on how to keep ferrets
properly, wouldn't it be going more to the root of things more or less, to
let Marshall Farms know we don't like how their babies are being kept? It
seems to me that most of these stores are getting their ferrets from MF's.
If MF's cares about their ferrets like they claim to, & they also make all
these ferret products, such as litter & boxes & food & etc why can't they
encourage, (I mean really encourage) the pet stores to use all these
products in displaying their ferrets?

It seems to me it would be to their advantage to do so. I suppose that
they do somewhat, but maybe they could put more of an effort into it.
Maybe they would (yeah dream some more) if enough people wrote/contacted
them & asked them to. They must know that the ferrets can get breathing
problems if shavings are used for bedding. It can't be to their advantage
to have babies starve or almost so by not being able to eat the food given
them.

I know they are a big "ferret factory" & may not give a damn what happens
to them after they leave there, & a small voice speaking up for these
babies is only a small voice, but if there are many small voices it will
be a louder noise that they hear. What do you all think?
