In the April 11 issue of the Buffalo News, a pet store owner was given a
warrant by the Erie County SPCA for renting chicks by the hour for $40.
These chicks were dyed several colors for the Easter Season. I purchased
three ferrets from this guy over five years ago and am wondering what
conditions the ferrets and other animals are in. The SPCA did note that
the chicks were not being properly cared for in the pet store. The
matter has been turned over to the Erie County District Attorneys office.
