I just got off the phone with Trish of <http://www.lostpetfoundpet.com/>.
She has a great book about lost and found pets.  It includes a nice
section on ferrets.  She has more information which she is willing to
offer in the form of a pamphlet for ferret gatherings.
 
She is also starting a thing where your ferret group/shelter can earn $5
if you link and whoever buys a book.  This seems like a great way to get
a few more dollars for your shelter.
