There is only one rabies vaccine approved for ferrets - IMRAB-3.

The "other" distemper vaccine is a new one: Purevax from Merial. If your
vet hasn't heard of it, insist that he or she check it out. (My vet
thought Purevax was only for cats.) There is a picture of the box, that
clearly says "ferret" in the latest Ferrets magazine.

Your vet can also use Galaxy-D from Solvay. This has not been proven
effective in ferrets and so isn't approved by the USDA. Therefore the
American Ferret Association does not recommend it. It does appear to be
safe for them, and may very well be effective, it just hasn't been proven
to be.

Both Purevax and Galaxy-D cause far fewer bad reactions than Fervac-D.
They are both much "cleaner" vaccines.
