Hello everyone, I used to be a regular post-er with the FML, but
recently quite a lot of things have been going on, and I lost the address
to the FML. I found it again through the internet after I got a new
computer (new used that is). Here is my story and why I need help..

A few months ago, we moved from our apartment where our ferrets were
welcome to a place where they were supposed to be welcome. Unfortunately
things didn't turn out the way they were supposed to and the place we
moved to was not boought by our friend who would allow for the ferrets.
The old management refused to let them stay and was actually going to
kick us out in 3 days if we didnt get rid of them. We took them to a
shelter near by who is a friend of ours, Ferret Rescue of Spokane, and
they were only supposed to be gone for a week. But then the management
thing fell through and there we were stuck for at least another 30 days
(we were on a month to month lease) without our ferrets. Tracy who runs
the shelter is a wonderful woman and agreed for them to be kept there
until we could get a new place. Unfortunately the Management here
decided to be QUITE difficult about everything and demanded we give a
WRITTEN 30 day notice... however, if we could not find another place that
would take our ferrets in those 30 daysshe would kick us out regardless.
So we couldnt really write the 30 day notice ahead of time, without
having a confirmed place to live at the end of those 30 days. On top of
that the management wouldnt release our 1000 deposit until AFTER we had
moved out, rendering it impossible for us to at least put a deposit on
the place so that someone WOULD save it for 30 days for us.

It was a difficult and trying month, because in the middle of it, I found
out that I lost my job. My boss sold the company and I wouldnt be kept
on. *cries* Then it became even more difficult to find a place because
I didnt have a job anymore and no one , but no one will rent to a person
who doesnt have ajob, even if the other party does. *hangs her head*

Finally we were able to find someone who was sympathetic to our plight
and agreed to hold the place for 30 days while and we were able to give
the 30 day notice to our current landlords, and she was willing to allow
our ferrets to live there as well. In the middle of losing my job I
lost my old email address, I lost the addresses I had in my book and as
I had no news to send to Tracy about what was going on with the ferret
situation and her emails to me were bouncing back, she feared, as any
weathered Shelter Op would, that I had abandoned my four precious
fur-kids. I finally got in touch with her, to tell her elatedly of the
news that we would be able to come take our ferrets back.

Here is where my request for help lies...I have no job, and my fiance
barely works enough to cover our expenses and his part of the rent, I
get unemployment but that doesnt even cover my bills, and Im sure you
all know the dismal state of employment these days, I can't even get a
job over minimum wage in the small town of Missoula. Back when I was
reading and posting to the FML, I participated in as many raffles and
ebay auctions and even am part of the BAM club....because I knew one
day that if I ever needed help I could turn to you wonderful people who
care so much about the welfare of ferrets everywhere.

The costs that I accrued at FROS has ended up being 425 for the care of
my four kids for 3 months...she kindly gave me a month free of board for
them, and instead of charging me 8$ a day she only charged me 5$/day for
the remaining 85 days...I am willing to make a basket for a raffle or
auction, but I have NO idea how to run one, anything really that will
help me raise the money to pay her so I can get my ferrets back home. I
sell Mary Kay (you might remember me as the one with the Pink Mary Kay
Ferret named Fiona) And I am willing to make a great basket with mary
kay products in it, I have a Ferret penny that is mounted for a necklace
that I am willing to put in or do as a second prize, I even have a new
(used 3 or 4 times-it was a demo for my old job) Epson C42 printer with
USB cable I can raffle or sell or really anything at all that I can use
to raise money for my ferrets...

Please... if anyone can help me in setting this up, or have suggestions..
pleasepleaseplease email me at [log in to unmask]
Im desperate to repay Tracy for her kindness and wonderfulness that
allowed my ferrets to not have to be permanently given away or to have
been taken care of by someone who doesnt care as much as I do about my
ferrets...I am eternally grateful for her help in my emergency and her
patience during these difficult months.

Thank you all for listening...
