Invitation: FERRET OLYMPICS ! First of Two.

Owners with their ferrets (skunks also invited) to vie for Ferret (Skunk)
Merit Certificates as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the upcoming
funtastic ferret olympics scheduled for the FERRET OLYMPICS.

Date: Sunday, 28 June, 12 noon until (who knows?).

Place: Sayres Park (beach) 3808 Lake Washington Blvd South on the beautiful
west shore of Seattle's Lake Washington. (Just north of Seward Park.)

Purpose: To give the public a view of the ferret's capabilities and
intellectual problem solving abilities. The ferrets will compete in the
25-foot swimming and grass race courses for the purpose of setting world
speed records. Contests of affection, sensation, and intelligence will
demonstrate the ferret's highly developed and varied mentality. Lots of
laughs participating (or just watching) the blind-folded ferret owner
feel-finder contest. This is with the owner down on all fours feeling in
the enclosed circle on the grass for his free-running, weasel-war-dancing
ferret, and the surrounding crowd hollering out: "Cold" "Warm" or "Hot," as
appropriate to the owner's closeness to his moving, sniffing, jumping, &
side-stepping ferret.

New this year is the chocolate-covered raisin competition and the ping-pong
balls squiggle-through race. Also this year a new test of ferret hearing
and responses.

Edward Lipinski recommends that ferret owners begin training their ferrets
on balloon bursting, upright sitting, kissing, paper-bag escape, and
yawning. Also work with your ferret to train for running alongside for
25-feet while harnessed and leashed. 25-foot swim course will require
removal of harness/leash.

Ferret and owner look-alike costume contest that displays a theme or idea
will likely be televised on local TV stations 6 and 11 o'clock news. So if
you and your ferret would like to be TV Stars, start developing your
costumes now.

Quick info via email or call Ferrets NorthWest @ [206] 232-1228. In case
of excess Seattle liquid sun (rain) Olympics will be rescheduled to the
following Sunday July 5th, same place and time.

Next regularly scheduled Ferret Olympics will be Sunday 30 August, same
place & time. Second of Two.
