I have been saying for years that the problem with intact ferrets is not
the same as with altered ferrets, but not having a University Degree I
have been shouted down by many ferret owners here in the UK who know
better than anyone else.

Humans that are spayed or castrated for one reason or another have to
have their hormones replaced, so why not ferrets.

If the sex hormones are not replaced in humans then they suffer from
Brittle Bone or Osteoporosis so what about the ferrets could they not
suffer from the same thing?
