Dick,

I have to agree with you here. This coming year Squirt, our
oldest ferret, will not be vaccinated against rabies due to *VERY*
bad reactions two years in a row. We almost lost him both times
and I don't think that his constitution can withstand another
go 'round like the ones he's had to date.

The sequence events/decisions we followed to reach our conclusion
were:

        1. We had Squirt vaccinated. He had an *EXTREMELY* bad
           reaction.
        2. We had Squirt vaccinated with premedication. He had
           and equally *VERY* bad reaction.
        3. We are no longer going to have Squirt vaccinated
           against rabies.

But, we are going to continue to have him vaccinated against
canine distemper. And, yes, we are worried about him being out
and about in public this coming year as he'll have no protection
if a nipping incident should occur (although, he is our biggest
mush-head, lovey ferret of the bunch)!
