Saw these posts and had to laugh. We have four from Country Ferrets (FFF)
and the post about a hyper, jumping, climbing, nipping (ok, biting) ferret
described our Thorn perfectly. She constantly climbs and jumps. Bend over
to clean the litter box, she is on my back and jumping over their retaining
wall to freedom. Once free, she justs stands there. Has free run of the
house, but lets me walk up and pick her up and put her back. More fun
escaping again I guess. She still bites. If she is tired, she will lick
the back of my hand and then bite. She likes to crawl inside my sweatshirt,
but will bite HARD the crook of my arm. But our 2 FFF boys will do this
and not bite at all. They just love to pounce on toes and bite them. FFF
are definitely different. Much more hyper. They definitely have a
predisposition to biting. And if anyone doubts that and is in the Central
Virginia area, I will be happy to demonstrate, just need a willing set of
toes, mine aren't :)
