Please do NOT take the following as a flame, as it is not meant to offend
anyone.  I occaionally see posts like this and thought I would comment.
 
Sometimes education will fall upon deaf ears because of the way the
situation is approached.  Informing someone they are "abusing" the ferrets
can very easily be taken offensively and put that person on the defense
immediately.  If the person feels that they are being ACCUSED of something
then they aren't going to listen to what anyone has to say.  The situation
has to be approached in a delicate manner so as not to make accusation,
make the person feel stupid or feel like they are being talked down to.
Remember, this person is only doing what they have probably been taught or
what they think is right or ok.  So I hope everyone will keep this in mind
when trying to educate managers, employees, etc.  of pet stores or anyone
else.
 
As I said before this is not to offend anyone....just some food for
thought.  :-)
