On Friday evening, Commissioner Mary Callaghan personally called the Ferret
Phone and left a very long message. In her comments she said that she has
personally called David Flagler (SL Animal Control Officer) and the new
County Attorney to push the priority of the animal ordinance that will
legalize and protect our Domestic Ferrets. Instead of two months, (her
aide told me on Tuesday), they hope to have hearings in the next few weeks.

Something must of happen this week. It was either the daily faxes she
received or all the phone calls received by our members and Salt Lake
Ferret Parents. Either way we are getting some action.

Lets keep up the pursuit and pressure. Great Job and much thanks to
everyone who is helping.

Commissioner Mary Callaghan (801) 468-3350 Fx 468-3535.
