USDA, I am almost positive, (my USDA knowledgable vet told me this) does
not allow ferrets to be shipped with out their mothers before the age of 6
weeks. So younger ferrets can be shipped with older ferrets - their
"mothers". It is a loop hole. i know others have stated that PV ferrets
are older than 6 weeks when shipped, but this is the only reason I can
think of. I wonder if the pet store ships the jill back.
