appears to be quite old. Look at the dates on the references at the
end of each section.

That explains the changes in anesthesia, and the rabies statement,
probably a good deal more, too. The testing for the effectiveness of
IMRAB 3 resulted in federal approval in 1990 if my memory serves. The
other studies on how strains of rabies behave in ferrets resulted in
the positive changes to the Compendium of Animal Rabies Control in
1998.

I am not sure why something that old is there. Maybe because the
content that is still in date is more than worth inclusion. That
makes sense to me.

Also, it gives a historical context of how very much has been achieved.
Anyone with a copy of the first _Biology and Diseases of the Ferret_
knows how small a tome that was in 1989.

The slide presentations at the other portions of the disease
discussions are much newer, some brand new so that older one is
probably best reserved for ferret vets who know how to weigh things.
