Hi Everyone,

I am asking for some help here as I know there are some people near this
area that may be able to jump in and help me out here. I am talking here
about the SuperPetz store in the Muhlenberg shopping center on 5th St
Highway in Reading, Pa.

If anyone here can get me the headquarters contact and address, email,
phone number, etc it would be greatly appreciated.

We went to SuperPetz today for a cat scratching post and the fuzzbutt
lover I am just had to see if they had any. The guinea pigs were all nice
and clean as were the bunnies. So here are 2 cages side by side with 3
ferrets in one and 4 in another. They were nice cages or at least had
been but these were deplorable. I mean sickning and filthy. There was no
food in either cage and water bottles were hung way too high. They were
on that shredded bedding which I don't know the name but that was filthy
too. The one litter box had 6" high poop. That was the one with 3
ferrets in. There was nothing for them to play with or any hammies to lay
in or even a den box to hide in. They were out in the open where all the
drafts went across them on the floor. I did speak to the manager who said
she had three ferrets. I asked her if she would allow her ferrets to live
in those conditions. I told her I realize they are shorthanded and busy
but this was unacceptable and very bad for the ferrets. They were all MF
ferrets and ranged from say 4-6 or more mo in age. She said they can
barely sell them because of them being MF ferrets and no one wants them.
There was not even a price on the cages. I told her that if I didn't know
better and came in here knowing nothing about ferrets that I would be
sickened by the sight and not even want to buy them. The girl said that
they had cleaned the cages before they left last night and I told her I
did not believe that because there was so much crap in the boxes that I
said my 6 don't make that much in a whole day and there were only 3 in.
The girl said that they were taking care of the sick animals in the back
and would get to them when they had time. As for the hammies the lady
said she would have to get word from higher up. I wanted to say you know
what lady I will bring you a hammie to put in there and hey how about some
toys but I have a feeling it would go right in one ear and out the other
for she would have to get an ok.

I don't know what to do. I have a full house with 13 cats and 6 ferrets
and can't possibly take these guys on. Is there anyone that can help me
out here to get these guys some homes or to get to higher ups to get these
guys taken care of?

I just don't know what to do. I work fulltime and don't have time to
drive an hour to get to this place to watch up on them.

Any help guys would be greatly appreciated.

Love & angel hugs
Debbie
